Our Story

Established in 1981, we were originally set up as the UK arm of Patriarche Père et Fils, to import their Burgundy wines to the UK.
Keith Isaac joined our sales team in 1987, and he passed the M.W. exams in 1989.
Keith was promoted to General Manager in 1996, and to reflect our growing agency portfolio of Champagne and premium wines, he changed our trading name to Patriarche Wine Agencies.

In 2013 the business was acquired by the prestigious Champagne House, Champagne Castelnau and became Castelnau Wine Agencies.

In 2022, we proudly joined one of the most prominent forces in Champagne, Terroirs et Vignerons de Champagne (TEVC).

Today we have a full portfolio and fantastic range from around 45 producers across Europe and around the world.
We are a small team – around half of our team have been with the business for over a decade – and we’re dedicated to offering the highest level of customer service and support.

Our focus remains premium On-trade, selling direct to restaurants, bars and hotels, as well as regional and national wholesalers.
We are also strong in travel and duty-free sectors, and independent retailers, food halls and wine merchants.

We continue to distribute the wines of Patriarche Père et Fils that we started our business with over 40 years ago, and our portfolio now includes Tiki Wines from New Zealand’s North Canterbury, Cycles Gladiator from California, Logan Wines from Australia, Oak Valley from South Africa and many more.
