As the dust settles in the warehouses of some of the world's most influential wine awards we reflect on the plethora of Gold's achieved in 2019 by our Champagne portfolio.
The breadth of cuvées that received gold is notable, ranging from the flagship NV Bruts and Rosés to vintage Blanc de Blancs. In light of the article in The Drinks Business magazine (July 2019) that challenges the future of Vintage Champagne altogether even more poignant is the double gold for Champagne Castelnau's Vintage 2006 awarded by the notoriously strict IWSC and the specialist fizz competition Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, chaired by Tom Stevenson.
Our Champagnes that have won Gold medals this year are:
Champagne Castelnau Brut Réserve NV - Gold, Sommelier Wine Awards 2019
Champagne Castelnau Vintage 2006 - Gold, IWSC 2019 and Gold, Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2019
Champagne Castelnau Blanc de Blancs 2005 - Gold, International Wine Challenge 2019
Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte Collection Vintage Blanc de Blancs 2012 - Gold, IWSC 2019
Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte Réserve Exclusive Rosé NV - Gold, Global Rosé Masters 2019 (Drinks Business)
